Children and teens enrolled in Seekonk Public Library’s 2009 summer reading program “Starship Adventure at your library,” are invited to pick up their Reading Certificates and Rewards Packets between Monday, August 10, and Saturday, August 29.  These rewards are only for children and teens enrolled in the summer reading program who have logged reading minutes with the Library’s online summer reading program this summer.

Also available will be PawSox tickets for the September 2nd game against the Rochester Red Wings at 7:05 pm.  If they wish, each registered child will receive one free General Admission ticket and, if tickets remain two days prior to the game, parents are invited to call the Youth Services Librarians to check on additional ticket availability.

Registered children must have recorded their summer reading time online or with the Youth Services Librarians before August 10 to be eligible for rewards.

“Starship Adventure at your library,” the 2009 Statewide Summer Library Adventure, has been funded by theMassachusetts Regional Library Systems, the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, your local public library, and hundreds of organizations and businesses throughout Massachusetts.  It has also been supported by The Friends of Seekonk Public Library, The Pawtucket Red Sox Baseball Club, Papa Ginos, Outback Steakhouse, Sundaes, The Bowling Academy, Old Country Buffet, and McDonald’s of Seekonk.  A great big thank you to all of our sponsors from YOUR Youth Services Librarians!
